Membership Registration Letter 2015
January 2015
Dear Friends of NASPA,
I write to invite your shrine to become a member of the National Association of the Shrine and Pilgrimage Apostolate or to renew its current membership.  NASPA was formally approved and organized in 1990 and comes under the Episcopal jurisdiction of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.
The goals of the NASPA are to promote and give new meaning to pilgrimages as an experience of renewal and evangelization to a pilgrim people.  To achieve these goals, we strive to cooperate with diocesan directors of pilgrimages, other pilgrimage leaders and individual pilgrims, so that the pilgrimage experience will be a true spiritual journey from beginning to end.  We also serve shrine personnel, enabling them to fulfill their apostolate of service to the pilgrim people of God.
Through the working of our annual convention each November, we come together to share our ideas, frustrations, hopes and dreams.  During this convention, we have time to pray, socialize and benefit from speakers chosen for the convention.
NASPA membership fees are as follows:
                        Full Member             ~          $ 300.00 (per year)
                        Associate Member   ~          $ 150.00 (per year)
                        Business Member    ~          $ 200.00 (per year)
Full Membership is offered to only ONE representative of each Shrine.  Only Full Members are allowed to vote in the proceedings at the Annual Convention.  Associate Membership is offered to other shrine personnel and private organizations who wish to participate in the goals and gathering of NASPA.
Dues are payable by March 31, 2015. Membership runs from January 1 through December 31.
This year the convention will be held from Monday, November 2 through Thursday, November 5, 2015 at the Basilica of the National Shrine of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton in Emmitsburg, Maryland.  More details on the Convention will be forthcoming during the summer.
If you would like to become a new member or to renew your membership in NASPA, please fill out the enclosed Membership Form and return it to the Secretary/Treasurer at the address on the bottom of the form.  We look forward to hearing from you and hopefully, seeing you at our next convention.
Sincerely for NASPA,
Reverend Monsignor Vito A. Buonanno
